Since October 1, 2023, the Mutual Recognition Agreement has come into force.
In January 2023, the customs of China and Costa Rica signed the Arrangement between the General Administration of Customs of the Peoples Republic of China and the Customs Administration of the Republic of Costa Rica on the Mutual Recognition of the Enterprise Credit Management System of the Chinese Customs and the Authorized Economic Operator System of the Costa Rican Customs (hereinafter referred to as the Mutual Recognition Arrangement), and decided to officially implement it from July 1, 2023.

On August 22, 2023, President Xi Jinping of China visited South Africa and signed a joint statement on the mutual recognition of AEO (Authorized Economic Operator). This measure aims to further improve the trade convenience between China and South Africa, reduce costs, and provide preferential policies for enterprises of the two countries.
