With the continuous expansion of Chinas imported food market, ensuring food safety and quality has become a priority for the General Administration of Customs. Therefore, according to GACC Order No. 249, all overseas food exporters or agents exporting to China must register with the General Administration of Customs.
Filing Requirement: Necessity of Registration for Overseas Food Exporters and Agents
The purpose of registration is to enable the General Administration of Customs to obtain information about overseas exporters and agents for more effective food safety supervision. Only successfully registered exporters and agents can complete customs clearance procedures in China.
Filing Process: Detailed Steps and Guidelines
(1) Register as a user on the GAC official website
First, applicants need to register as users on the GAC official website. Note to select the Overseas and Hong Kong/Macau/Taiwan Users option and provide accurate user information as these details will be synchronized with the registration system.
(2) User Login and Navigation to Registration System Log in using the registered username and password, then locate the Import Food option under the Internet + Customs sections Enterprise Management and Inspection module.Cosmetics & Personal CareExporter and Agent Registration
(3) Completing and Submitting Registration Information
Fill in the registration information in the Imported Food and Cosmetics Exporter and Agent Registration System, then click Submit.
(4) Approval Process and Registration Result Inquiry
Customs will conduct the review within 1-2 working days after receiving the application. Applicants can check the registration results in the registration system.
(5) Post-Registration: Operations After Successful Registration
Once the registration confirmation is received, exporters or agents can use the registered name for customs declaration operations.
