On October 20, 2023, the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry of Australia (DAFF) issued a new policy notice IFN14 - 23 regarding the import of bivalve molluscs and their products. This new policy will directly affect the export of bivalve molluscs from many countries to Australia.

首先，新的規定明確指出，自2023年11月9日開始，想要進口至澳大利亞的雙殼貝類及其產品（除了經過熱殺菌處理的長貨架穩定期產品和干燥產品）必須來自澳大利亞官方認可的國家。這意味著，未獲得澳大利亞批準的國家將不能將其雙殼貝類產品出口至澳大利亞。
